Welcome to the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) online community.
This community is a respectful and supportive space where everyone can take part.
To ensure the best possible experience for all users, we’ve set some basic community rules and suggestions. Please familiarise yourself with them, and if you require any support, please contact us at ocsupport@iosh.com
The rules
- Be respectful of others, especially newer guests and members. Focus on the content of posts rather than their authors. There are no “stupid questions”.
- Make sure topics are relevant to the community. Share successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions and goals.
- Respect intellectual property. Only post content that you’ve personally created or have permission to use, with proper attribution to the content creator.
- Use caution when discussing products. We don’t permit direct promotion or criticism of products, services and organisations.
Community content
IOSH does not actively moderate postings or undertake editorial control of postings. However, if any inappropriate posting is brought to IOSH’s attention, we will take suitable action. If any user or party believes that any post breaches a rule, IOSH will follow the defined moderation process. This may result in a request to remove material.
IOSH, at its full and final discretion, will delete posts that don’t adhere to these rules, or it deems to be subjective, inaccurate or inappropriate. We will remove anything defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal.
IOSH considers any messages that encourage or facilitate an agreement about the following subjects as inappropriate and may remove them: prices, discounts or terms or conditions of sale; salaries; profits, profit margins or cost data; market shares, sales territories or markets; allocation of customers or territories; or selection, rejection or termination of customers or suppliers.
Community membership
To maintain an environment that encourages respectful and responsible dialogue, IOSH reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership of this community for anyone who violates these rules.
We may refer any inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour in this online community for investigation under the relevant IOSH moderation or disciplinary code.
The community and you
By posting material, you warrant and represent that you own the copyright with respect to such material or have received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, all users grant IOSH and other users of this site the non-exclusive right and licence to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print and use such information or other material.
You must not post messages that encourage or facilitate other users to arrive at any agreement that either expressly or by implication leads to price fixing, a boycott of another’s business, or other conduct intended to illegally restrict free trade.
